Cigarette lighther outlet malfunction DB9

Hi Friends,

I tried to mock around with my 2009 DB9 cigarette lighter outlet, so that I can connect usb adapter to it permanently and route the iPhone charging cable from underneath the center console and bring it out of AC VENT. IT WORKED but power to this outlet was staying on even after car is locked and turned off, so while trying to remove I touched the metal socket with a metal tool there was bit of spark. Now cigarette lighter would not work. I tried looking at fuse 45 in passangers foot well which is for "illumination and accessory" it's fine. I wonder if anyone know what could be wrong and which fuse I might need to replace?

Cigarette outlet I m talking about is one in front of the centrl armrest box, not the one inside the box which hs USB port, iPod connector and another cigaret outlet those works fine.

Thanks.

#45 fuse is for illumination, There is another fuse for battery +. 15AMP (or should be) close by #46-48?

I contacted Aston martin tech and he told me its fuse number 55 (20 amp), and indeed it was. Replaced it and fixed the issue.

I have owners manual and Workshop manual for DB9 but I think its fro pre MY2005.
Any one have 2005-2011 owners manual or service manual?

MY2005 was the first year for the DB9, there shouldn't be anything pre-05.

I've got issue 2 WSM & F55 shows as spare. I've also got issue 7 (dated Sep 2010) and F55 is spare there too.

But my 2006.5 Revised Wiring Diagrams manual show F55 as Socket Accessory Cigar lighter.

Seems a bit random?

Humm...I learn something new everyday. I have circuited diagrams and it does show fuse 55 for cigarette lighter.

I almost paid for astonmartintechno.com for version 7 thinking I had wrong version.

Sorry for the resurrection but I thought it better than starting a new topic. My cig lighter outlet no longer works, can't charge a phone, can't be charged by the battery tender. However the green light around it is still on. Does anyone have experience w/this or can confirm if it's fuse 55 (20amp) that I need to replace?

Thanks.

It does not hurt to check fuse 55 and if its shorted then replace it
