A couple excerpts:
Clearly signalling an extension to the brand’s existing model lines in the future, the all-wheel drive DBX Concept seamlessly combines traditional Aston Martin beauty with elegant new engineering that gracefully aligns form and function.
Dr Palmer added: “This is, clearly, not a production-ready sports GT car, but it is a piece of fresh, bold thinking about what Aston Martin GT customers around the world could request of us in the future."
Very nice. Looks better than Lambo's SUV. I even like the headlights!

And based on the pics, I do like the back end. It's the roof... thing... I don't like.

I spent quite a bit of time trying to like it both overall and even just certain elements.
I just can't.
Too many of the car's elements are jarring and not in harmony with each other.
But hopefully it serves it's purpose as a concept and gets people talking with the designers to mold future Astons in a positive way.

In general, I like it. Concepts tend to be edgy, and a little impractical. Their odd edges tend to be smoothed out for production. I'd rather see a more radical concept, then you'd think the production model will be something forward thinking. Not a fan of the rear roof edge, but im betting that'd never make production.
Boring concepts lead to excessively boring cars

They're just too squinty for my taste. And they remind me too much of one of Mr Palmer's products from his last gig...

It's a high-luxury, all-wheel-drive, electric, grand-touring, two-plus-two, crossover coupe.... SATISFY ALL OF THE NICHES!!

Is it me or does it seems like we are getting a glimps of a new Aston Martin model on a weekly basis these days? It feels a little like the shotgun approach. Shoot enough lead out there and something will stick. Personally not a fan of this new look.
They're in the process of revamping the entire lineup. I think it was Marek that basically said that while Porsche has a steady evolution, Aston has distinct design phases.
The coming lineup will be a lot more differentiated between models. While most people can't tell a DB9 from a Vantage, the new cars will be more distinct from each other. The new Vanquish was the first to get this treatment, which is why it looks so different from the DBS, DB9, Vantage, and Rapide. The DB9 replacement will be next, followed by the next Vantage a year later.
So you're absolutely right, there's a whole barrage of new models, concepts, and designs. The reason is because they're revamping the entire lineup.

Aston must stay with what they know, build cars that seduce, leave shapes and batteries and strange concepts to others...

These new Astons are not best represented in these photos. Take a look at some of the video (XCAR etc). They look far better. In fact they look amazing, the details are amazing.
I personally love that they are upsetting some people, that means the brand is taking some chances and moving forward. This is a marquis that needs that. They have to rethink what the modern Aston Martin is, what modern materials and production methods can bring to the brand.
The cross over looks lower when not shot from so low. The interior is fantastc. I think the Vulcan has some amazing surfacing details. Not at all like a Vette.
