Not sure how this can be considered "70s style" or whatever..?? This type of diamond quilted pattern is popular today in not only modern Aston Martin but also Bentley, Ferrari and even Lamborghini. I think it's classy and timeless.. Very nice job and a perfect upgrade to a modern Aston Martin.
As far as what it cost, I had all of the face leather replaced (kept the back) as the car is 6 years old and 41,000 miles use and it was in the drivers seat where it showed heavy usage and wear - the rest of the car 'shows' fairly new. I also added some padding to the lower seat, and the total came to $3,700. I also decided last minute (last week) to redo the seat for my 96 Buell S1 the same to match. The Buell's Yellow paint was faded in many areas, so I'm having it Wrapped (much lower cost than paint) in a brushed copper. Not sure if that was a good idea, but I'll find out soon enough.
Nope never met ...just my cheap attempt at humor.... and no I don't like the look, it looks very 70s tie dye hippy not in keeping with the car IMHO .
Just like the guy from Dubai with the fugly gold foil on his Vantage . That was Butt Ugly if you ask me .
Wow. Ummm okay.
I think it looks good. What's more, is to respect the ops decisions. (IMHO)
And if you look at the vanquish, or "Q" cars, many of them have similar quilting patterns
Looking forward the int installed pics, and some detail on increased comfort from the addition to the seat

Its his car he can do what he wants with it , if he likes it then that's his choice .Same with the Dubai gold foil guy .
Nothing to do with respect , Im sure the OP is a great guy and as this is a public forum everyone is allowed an opinion as long as its not offensive or derogatory .
If the OP was hurt / offended by my comment I sure he would have replied .
Seeing as he hasn't I assume he takes it with a grain of salt and realizes that opinions of what looks good and what does'nt are personal choice .
The main thing is he is happy and not what others think .
My take on it is it will be a maintenance nightmare trying to keep it clean and all the high and low spots created by the quilting are going to wear like crazy and with regular use it will look terrible in a couple of years .
But as they say that's JMHO.....
Thanks, I really like the quilted look of Bentley and in some of the older Vanquish seats and headliner. In this case my guy said he could duplicate the new Aston quilted pattern... I think he nailed it. In any custom project, especially leather work its always taking a chance, but I'm happy with the results. Now there is nothing in the cabin that looks worn and dated.
