This might be completely useless, but what if you pressed the gas pedal down as the final step before pushing on the button?

When I do mine, I do all the regular procedure as I would start the car (so key, clutch in, then gas, then button). I wonder if pressing down on the gas then the brakes, the car ends just ignoring the gas pedal input after getting the brake pedal input?

I just ran across this thread. Building up oil pressure before starting the engine is a great practice. I have a 2013 MT. This procedure works for all 4.7's right?

Not any more with Bosch EM. Makes me wince when I haven't started the car in a few weeks and the oil light stays on for three or four seconds.

I just did it with my 2013 V8V 6MT. Shifter neutral, foot on brake, gas peddle pushed to floor. Worked just as advertised.
