Can someone explain this?

Can anyone explain how my trip odometer can have more mileage (kms) than the odometer? It's a small discrepancy of 4kms but it's got me wondering.

1) It's never been reset from build, Vehicle traveled 4 km before DIM installed or 2) there was an issue with the DIM (instrument pack) when fitted to the vehicle and a new one was fitted and not reset. The DIM gets its information from the CEM and matches stored data as far as miles/km. Try driving in reverse a short distance to see if it goes backwards. LOL

I've not reset the trip since new so I guess that makes sense. Maybe the factory's 4k end to end

I appreciate the explanation. Thanks.
