Thoughts on this Vanatge for sale?
To clarify, the GT comes with a full leather interior as standard or half leather, half Alcantara as a no cost option. However, the car the OP is looking at has a carbon splitter, diffuser, side strakes, mirror caps, ski slope, door pulls. These options alone are over $15K if purchased separately after the car is built.
That sounds like the ticket, unless you find another in the meantime!!!!!!!! After sitting on it 30 days, he is starting to pay floorpan on 90k plus? So adding in maybe 500-1k per month on what he has in it. That will only make it harder for him to sell eventually, so after 30 days or so, he knows that its likely to sit. Then again, some of these guys automatically feel the AM fever and say to themsleves, some rich guy trying to impress his girl will drop the 100k and I will make my profit. Then after 6 months they cut it loose at a loss. I ran into this with a dealer outside DC. Offered a fair price, they turned it down, lowballed my Maserati, and then sold the AM for 3k less than I offered due to a PPI. I could have told them the front was weeping oil, but they didnt ask and I didnt offer that was the reason for my offer. Just didnt feel like paying around and dickering. Moved on to another AMG, but wishing a AM was in the garage.

I love reading these threads. The floor plan on $90k these days in less than $200/mo. Dealers trade in these cars daily, they know what they are worth. Buyers are in the market very infrequently, they know what people are asking but they rarely know where the market is trading. SheriffDep may be the exception, there always is one.
Used car dealers know cars in general and the business of selling them very well. They don't know niche cars like Aston's very well though. I have been watching the market closely for six months and am now aware of every 2009+ Vantage currently for sale is the US. I promise you the dealer isn't spending time every day looking at V8V's available. There is a small market for AM cars. There are some good value priced cars that have been for sale for months and still not selling.
I don't think anyone will walk in and pay his price. I could be wrong but I don't really want to play a waiting game either. I'd like to pick a good one soon. I think he's already had it since at least January and has been waiting for the warm weather to bring out the buyers. My bet is he will sell in the very low 90's this summer sometime. Someone will get a nice car for a fair price. Eventually.
