Thoughts on this Vanatge for sale?
There is a really nice Vantage for sale at a local used car dealer. It's a very well optioned 2013, original sticker of $154k. I went and looked at it and the blemishes are really minor. Tell me what you think of the car and the price.
I am in discussion with a couple of people from 6Speed. I don't want any of them to think I am toying with them, I'm not. I'm trying to narrow down my search. I haven't settled on any car yet. But this one is local and a good one. Just maybe pricey.

Whoever ordered that went a bit crazy on the options! Looks like they added a bunch of stuff that would have come standard on a V8VS. But it is one super-nicely optioned car lol, so their loss is your gain. It's a 2-yr old car with only 2k miles, and it's listed over $50k less than sticker. Based on that alone, you're getting a nearly-new car for a massive discount. If I were in the market, I'd take a look at it.

It does look very nice, especially if you're in the market for a nearly new car. The only thing I'd say is do some research on other Vantages especially 2009 model year and later (when the 4.7L was introduced). If you're willing to go a couple years older and a bit more mileage you could likely save $20k. It's really up to you when to buy in, just be aware that Astons depreciate much faster than many other cars.

The mileage is great and it is nicely optioned. That being said I think the price is a bit high. It is not an S. It has been listed for awhile too so I think the dealership will have room to move. Good luck!

I reached out to the dealer and offered him $90k. He replied saying that was out of the question, and offered $1,000 off as a courtesy. So $98,950. It's a nice car but we all know options values get killed at resale. I'm looking at some other very fine cars from known 6SPO members that are all under $90k. I may have to walk.

Don't forget to use the PPI as a negotiation tool. Have the seller pay for it (it'll also help them for other potential customers so it's a win-win). And don't get too hung up on a car that's sat for a long time. These cars need to be driven to stay in good shape. Last thing you want to deal with is "garage rot" with a car that's sat for too long!

After searching a bit I am seeing most 2013s over $100k. However, show him this one:

I am not sure there are people coming in every to buy 90k plus K cars. He turned down your offer because he may more in the car than you offered. 2k more miles and you save almost 9 grand. Car dealers are in the business to move iron (or carbon fiber). Let him know what you are looking at and see if he blinks. Remember you have what he wants, money. But there are AM all over so if he wants to mover iron....

That's pretty much what I told the dealer. He isn't paying attention so I am moving on. Plenty of fish in the sea.

In all fairness a $100k GT will be pretty bare bone. You do get the more powerful engine but a lot of the luxury features will be missing. I personally feel that a car like an Aston should have an interior covered in leather so the "S" was the better pick for me. That being said if the dealer is being stubborn/unresponsive definitely look else where.
