Aston Martin DB7, DB9, DBS, Vantage V8, Vanquish, and Classic models

FYI: I found some really inexpensive ($140) carbon fiber mirrors and they look great!

I personally was able to purchase rear diffuser, front lip spoiler and mirror caps for what you will pay for the mirror caps with mirror images.
I do hope you don't think my post was insinuating you fitted 'garbage'?
Not my intent.
Just pointing out to the masses the fact that some of those far east sourced items come with baggage attached and no recourse after purchase.

Sounded a little like that but everyone is allowed their own opinion. Thanks for clearing that up.

Other manufacturer beside the far east make decent Carbon Fiber parts, I found a German company for my rear diffuser which look exactly like the N420 but not mirror image and at 1/5 of the price of AM. Also those Carbon Fiber mirrors from Volvo are not full Carbon Fiber but rather overlays so that is why the cost is so low compare to the real one but they look as good as the real thing.

Just looked at the website. Apparently they are back in stock, but the price has gone up. Now approx $140 dollars plus VAT and tax? Total looks like $175.00.
Still not a bad price if the quality is good.
Just for grins I ordered a pair

quality is good but the tabs break so easily! i had to buy a 2nd pair bc all broke off 1 of them on the 1st set i bought. 2nd one is not much better and i've resorted to 3M tape to hold it on.

When I do a search on the site, I do notice two other Volvo models on sale (S40/V50)

Can someone please verify two things for me:
1 - Will these fit a 2012 V8 Vantage S
2 - For part reference, What Volvo model does the Aston follow? S60/80? MY?

I ask the latter, because I'd also like to find the Volvo branded amplifiers to upgrade my audio.

Thanks in advance!
I believe these are for the early cars with the smaller mirrors. Not sure what year the Vantage moved to the larger mirrors.

I tried reading this and re-reading this to confirm:

If I have a 2009 Vantage Roadster V8, I can order the Volvo caps from an S80 or C70 of the same year and they are a direct replacement fit to the Aston Martin Vantage of the same year?

I'd hate to take a crack at it and order them and they are not, but they clearly look right.

This is the picture of the mirror covers I purchased twenty (20) sets of a couple of years ago and sold thru the internet since with the last set gone last year. So yes; the shall fit your '09 Vantage

I purchased a couple of sets of these and had fitment problems... the issue is that these are real CF fused on to ABS plastic and when they get baked, the ABS plastic properties change...I found that when the mirror caps sat in the sun, they would deform slightly and would not fit

tightly

If you read back through, you will see that you need to be careful with the tabs on removal and install. However, yes they do fit cars up to mid 2010. I have a set in a boxes somewhere that I never installed, and no longer have my 08.

I agree with this post. I purchased these CF caps for my DBS a few years back. The plastic on the CF caps was much stiffer than the plastic of my OEM caps. This results in fitment issues, since unless the fit is perfect -- which it's not -- the lack of flexibility prevents it from seating properly in place. Also, the tabs break off way too easily. I was careful with tabs, but they broke off anyway. This happened with two different caps. I've never had issues with the tabs breaking on the OEM caps. Again I think this has to do with the stiff plastic of the CF caps, which don't have any "give."
