So we all know theres a recall on the seat heaters in the 07 Vantage .
I haven't made it to the dealership yet as its a 2 1/2 hr drive away and I need to make plane etc to get it done .
Reason I ask is the drivers side heater in my vantage seems to have a mind of its own . Twice now I have been in the car and without the heater switch being on my back and *** were on fire and no amount of fiddling with the switches would stop the heat . Ended up pulling over turn off the car and sit in the seat to help soak away the heat to prevent leather damage then restart and drive away , heater now off .
So what are the symptoms of a bad seat heater module and can I just pull a fuse or unplug the seat heaters under the seat until I can get to the dealership ?

 

Fuses F60 and F61 (both 15A fuses) in the cabin fuse box, which is under the carpet on the passenger side.
