Why not using Aston martin Calgary. I found the Aston martin dealer ship great. and piece of mind to. If you want to sell your Aston in the future dealer stamps/ invoices will sell your car for more and quicker. Plus i found there rates very reasonable.

Some of us aren't as fortunate as you are Skeena. The majority of people who buy Astons wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a camshaft and a halfshaft and some service managers take advantage of this fact. My first foray into an Aston dealership for service isn't something I wish to repeat. An attempt was made to con me into carrying out 3 different jobs which in no way were necessary and would have had a cost of over $2000 just for the labor. Unfortunately this dishonest service manager had no way of knowing that I spent my entire career working as a mechanical engineer who knows the difference between a camshaft and a halfshaft. This is in no way implying that all dealerships are like that but the dealership which employs him will never see me or my Vantage again.

Hi Yorick,

Thats sucks! I am not that fortunate, but i am using the main dealers and the price that i am paying is very reasonable. I would prefer to pay a little bit extra and have it done by a certified Aston shop then a mechanic who has never seen a Aston before And trust me in Canada there not that manny Astons like the US or Europe. Most shops in BC will have a $100 labour rate. Aston Martin will charge more, but i will have some peace of mind, and it's done the right way + warranty. I just did a 9 year annual service for my db9. I paid $695 for it. My ford F150 is almost the same. I also don't think it is just the main dealer who will take advantage of a customer. Also independent shops are trying to make some $$ you just need to find the right mechanic.shop.
Maybe i am just lucky with my db9 Every annual service was roughly the same unless i had to buy tires/brakes.

But if you gonna sell your Aston in the future i think you will get less $$ for your car. I even think most potential buyers will not even buy the car with out a warranty or a full history. The risk of buying a potential money pit we all trying to avoid. When i bought my Aston i looked for a full history, not that i don't trust the independent shop! I used a independent shop for my XKR and was very happy! But my Aston is something special and if the day comes i have t sell it, i want good money for it and i have the service history to back it up.

Cheers from BC.

Sounds like we need to set up some Aston Servicing here in the Okanagan!!! Arrive, drop your car off, do a couple days of wine tasting/touring and come collect it!
