shinjuku is infamous around these parts
heat shield vibration?

I have a slightly odd noise sometimes on lifting off the accelerator around 2k -3k rpm. A bit like a solenoid activating and deactivating repeatedly.

Have fully checked the transmission itself over and the noise is not coming from the major components.

I think it could be some heatshielding somewhere getting warm, picking up a sympathetic vibration from the transmission when lifting off and making a tapping sound. So far however i have not found the culprit part.

Can anyone suggest where i should look. When in the cabin the sound appears to come from RHS toward the front but obviously that could just be where it appears to come from due to easiest passage of sound.

Thanks
S
