It was a great party though!
Haha that's true, yes great party! Now trying to get through crazy traffic to the concours
Had a fine time on Saturday morning. Had plenty of space and time to talk to the AM company reps at the cars. Drove a Rapide S, hard, fell deeper in love with it, wondered why everyone who can afford one doesn't already have one, made mental note to shop for one in no so distant future.
Ate some words: I take back all I said about the Lagonda, at least the negative parts. That thing is glorious and it's a crime we don't get to see them decorating the roads of North America. It just doesn't photograph well and must be experienced in person. Presence, stance, grace, mystique.
I also take back much of my bashing of the DB10. Like the Lagonda, the beauty doesn't translate into photos. So much more power and bite in person. Not really a DB, but not a bad next vantage.
And in conclusion, I also rescind my *****ing and moaning about the Vulcan, at least about its looks. It is stunning and threatening. I wish there were more than 2 left. I'm doing the math and considering that owning one and parking it in a warehouse for 3 years might not be a bad investment. Yes, I'll go to car guy hell for doing such a thing, but doubling your money is never a bad thing...
Yay Aston Martin. This club never disappoints. See you all next year or at the next Cars n Coffee.
