No,,,,,It's just a dog.....the car is family. No way, no how would I ever allow an animal in one of my good cars......

I then discovered that my brother was only mildly affected. A large number of dog owners consider their dogs just as, if not more important that their kids. Some dog owners sleep with their dogs, want to swim with them at their beaches and even want them to ride it their favorite cars.
I have given up trying to understand (Smile)
Couldn't agree more......People who fawn over their animals need to get a life. Had dogs my whole life growing up, too.

We all have a few screws loose. If you don't they're so tight you have no personality. Some of my screws have fallen out but I'm sure most of you already knew that.

Some of us love our pets more than our kids, and some of us love our cars more than our pets. And some will drive with their dogs sitting on their laps with their heads hanging out the window [the dog, not the driver, although sometimes I think maybe the dog is driving?] I wonder how that airbag feels on a 9 pound dog when the inevitable happens. What I don't get are these women that put their 3 pound dogs in their handbags and walk around with them all day treating them like the child they wish they had instead of the whiny entitled teenager they actually have at home.

Strange world

I brought Lily to British Car Day (at Larz Anderson mot.org) in the Rapide. The passenger seat belt light would go on and off for a big until she settled into the seat and then the airbag off light was on. She is 32 lbs. She was a huge hit at the show. Only Rapide, only Corgi of the show.

I was talking about those dogs that ride on the owners lap with their heads out the window. Maybe it's just a Jersey thing?

I know some of you love your dogs. I have no problem with that. Be aware that not everyone loves dogs. I am an asthmatic and dogs make me sick. My wife is deathly afraid of dogs because she was bitten as a child. Personally, I do not allow any animals to ride in my cars.

Service animals on planes have become such an issue that Delta has banned bit bulls after it's staff was bitten. A pig defecated on a plane and I was told created a forced landing. One woman tried to bring a peacock on a plane as a service animal. It’s now at the point where dogs are in some restaurants.

A woman walking her dog brought the dog over to me to pet. When I told her I did not like dogs she looked at me as if I was an insurgent from the Taliban.

So please dog owners do not assume that if we do not like your dogs we are un-American.
For many of us it’s a health issue. For others its fear.
And some just think this has gone too far. (smile)

I always loved my pets, they do become part of the family and you cry when you have to bury them. But I have no desire to have pets anymore, I don't need a dependent that can't feed itself or take itself out for a "walk", and certainly a dependent I can't write off on my tax return. I don't need to be licked or purred and I don't need validation an animal loves me. If I want to leave in 10 minutes to drive to an auction in Maine I don't have arrange for their care because I'm certainly not taking them with me. Life without pets is much simpler and simple is good. I enjoy my friends and neighbors pets, as long as they don't slobber on me too much and have had a bath sometime in the last week, otherwise I'll smell like your dog. And how many of us have walked into a house and said "I guess you have cats" as a polite way to say "your house reeks, you know you're supposed to clean the litter box".

Service dogs perform a service, especially for the blind. But when you fake anxiety so you can get your dog classified as a service dog just so you can take it everywhere with you, it's definitely gone too far.

In my 20's I'd be the a-hole sitting beside as asthmatic smoking a pack on a coast to coast flight, it was just as much my right to smoke as it was for you to choke on my smoke. Obviously times have changed and so have I, I'd never think of being that big an a-hole today. Well, I may be, just in other ways

I would bring my dog if I had the row reserved for us or however rich people bring their dogs with them. I wouldn't leave her in the hold below.

That being said, I have never brought our dog on a plane as I am not affording a whole row or first class ticket for my beloved pet...

I flew with my dog once when moving, in the hold where he belonged. After the tranquilizers the vet provided for the trip I doubt he even knew he woke up in a different time zone, but I think he was still flying for a couple days after

I see it EVERY DAY as an airline captain. Entitled a-holes bringing their "support animals"(my ***) on the airplane. The other day we had to take a delay on departure because some a-hole's animal took a dump on the carpet and cabin service had to spend extra time cleaning. PISSES ME OFF. However, if a blind person comes on board with a seeing eye dog I would personally escort him/her to their seat and go out of my way to assist. These rules need to be revamped. The problem is the airlines are scared to **** of the ADA which is severely being abused. America is losing it's mind.

Anyone have any pictures of dogs in their Vantage?
I volunteer for an animal rescue and occasionally transport dogs in my vantage. It all depends on the type of dog.. You probably only want to bring an older or very calm dog in it. You do not want a dog that will jump up on the door or center console, it will only take one nail scratch to ruin the interior.

I guess it all depends how rich you are
