I love this project! So much happening at one time, you're going to see a big difference. It all adds up, and you'll have one hell of a ride when it's done
I sure hope so pal. It's a combination of 3 vendors and 4 shops so logistics has been a little frustrating at times but it appears to be on the home stretch now.
The shop that currently has the car gave me a call yesterday and said that the two hoses from the trans to reservoir were leaking so I stopped by AM today to pick a new set up, they retail for almost $700USD here, I got them at a discounted price but wow was that ever a surprise. Anyways, flywheel, clutch & headers all installed, just need to bolt in the new cats and mid section with x-pipe.
Tomorrow I'll be going back in to flash in the VAP tune before they start it, then take it back to AM for a clutch line bleed, ASM clearing and calibration and a few more things I've decided to do. After that, brakes and aero is all that left. Homestretch now.
Thanks Marcos, I've been following along on your build thread as well, you're doing some great work. I haven't decided on the muffler yet, when I get the car back I'll see how it sounds, how loud it is and then make a decision. I'll keep you in the loop.
Thank you mate! I will have an eye on yours and Vince, three nice preparations!
I like to hear how your car sounds with the velocity center x pipe, mine is custom made and with the quicksilver muffler sounds like a race car!
With full long tube headers and high flow cats I would highly recommend keeping stock catback box. Not only will it help keep the sound more refined but it will allow you to retain the factory valves which will definitely come in handy with the significantly MUCH louder front end of the exhaust system.

Mine is a super sport and maybe is a little too loud, but everybody turn their heads when I pass and always people are happy earing the sound and when I go to sports cars concentrations all the people says mine has the best sound, between an american muscle car and a european supercar
The factory valves could help when you live on a very quiet neighbourhood at night but for me its waste the symphony of the exhaust
Im selling the sport that is less louder than mine, I buy it to prevent that if install the headers, cats and x pipe get too louder than could have problems with autorithy, but I think Im on the limit and I can support it
Quicksilver exhaust didnt make any resonance and the sound is more beautifull than stock and thats is very difficult to say as the Aston maybe have one os the best sounds ever..and dont mention the V12 sound because that is the summun of sounds..
Less weight, 10 kgr, better sound and 3.5 Hp are always a good decision
I get tons of compliments on how my car sounds. It is a little on the loud side, but sounds absolutely amazing. I just have to be responsible in neighborhoods, which would be the case anyway lol
Hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to fire the car up and have a listen, I always figured I'd keep the stock muffler but we'll see. I like a loud exhaust when it's refined, I actually think the OEM system with 22 pulled is gorgeous for OEM.
I prefer being valveless. I like the linear sound as the engine revs under load. You still get a change in tone through the rev-range, but it isn't abrupt like it is with the OEM system when the valves open.

Agreed, that's why pulling 22 makes such a difference, linear build up, love it right from the start.
The V12S clutch, lightweight flywheel, headers, cats and mid section with x-pipe are all installed 😊 I went to the shop and flashed in the VAP tune, then started it up - wow. The exhaust note is gorgeous, an exotic sound on an exotic car. I took the car from there immediately to Aston to have the clutch learn done and a few other items of work started that I decided on. I hope to have it back next Tesday/Wednesday and then take it to the next place for the brakes.
I'm waiting on the install pics to be emailed to me and will post them when received, until then here are a few I snapped of the new exhaust system while it was still up on the hoist;
Can't wait to see the dyno figures after the mods. Did you get any numbers before you started? Every knows the yellow ones are the fastest and most powerful ones.
Yep, sure did, got a baseline run in before I touched it. The OEM power mod (yellow paint) is definitely going to help.
Car is at Aston now getting the clutch line bled, having the clutch learn wipers clean & calibrated and a little cosmetic work. I hope to have it back on Wednesday so I can drive it to the Aston Bond event Thursday night.
