I'm staring at this picture as hard as I can and can't get the numbers to add up... $550???
What to do eh? If I had more time I could have bought the hoses from Velocity and saved some cash, next time. We all know (or at least we all should know) what we're getting into when we own exotics post-warranty.
So, I got a message today telling me that the shop that did the clutch, flywheel and exhaust didn't take any pics of the new stuff installed, so other than what I posted, that's all I got. Glad I took pics of the exhaust while it was still on the air.
Picked the car up from Aston yesterday after having the clutch learn and line bleed finished. While there I also had the chrome window trim removed and painted gloss black, so now all the chrome and silver is gone. Just pearl yellow, black and carbon fiber.
Finished up it looks great IMO
With everything done I drove it home, merging onto the highway I put my foot into it and the exhaust note literally sent a chill up my spine - it was the first time I'd heard it really under load. Tomorrow I'm going to get a sound clip and finish installing the V Collection body parts.
Last night Astin Martin Dubai held an invitation only Specter event at their showroom downtown. They had the DB10 from the movie on hand as well as a Vulcan (complete with drive-by, pit crew tire change and some serious revs on take off while the police blocked the main road). After that we went to the theater for a private pre-screening of Spectre (opens today) then to an after party. Absolute top marks to Aston for this, it was exceptionally well organized and was one of the best events I've attended during my 9+ years in Dubai.
Thought you guys would like to see a few pics I got;
As for the movie, I'm going to have to watch it again because as a lifelong Bond film fan I can't believe I left the theater saying "meh".
Im doing the same with mine, was difficult to quit them? Suffer any damage during the extraction?
I think looks better in black, now you have to paint the tail pipes in black also, for me looks better in caloric black than gloss black..see this pick
Also you can paint the two round heads of the interios front lights
The only thing Im gonna let in chorme is the badge emblems
Thanks for share the photos of the event, do you have more photos of the vulcan? I love the white colour!
PD: The movie a disaster, for me is the end of the franchise, dark, dirty and boring, I also sleep for a whiles, Sam Mendez is a disaster and the Guionist should clean Fukushima in tanga!
