Extended warranty

Has anyone successfully negotiated to have the dealer extend their warranty, for those buying a car which warranty is expiring soon?

I just had my one year service, on my 2007 Vantage. My preowned warranty expires in December. I didn't negotiate with the dealer for an extra year of the preowned warranty for $2932. I would also need to pay to have a multi point inspection of the car which is usually $600 that the dealer would honor for $350. The Price for the work he was a misquote of their actual cost but they said they would honor it. Cost of the one in your service was $800. So my total would be somewhere around $4000 with tax for the service and warranty. At this point I decided to pass seeing as my car is been so reliable up to this point.

After a lot of thought and decided to go for the one year warranty for $2900 plus $340 for the multipoint inspection. There's no such thing as enough peace of mind.

If your paying for a yearly maintenance on your Aston, the inspection for the warranty is a no cost option. You should only be paying for a PPI or Multi-Point inspection if the car is not serviced.

Ron I think you made the right call. I just had my gas cap actuator, passenger door lock actuator, and rear parking sensor module all replaced under warranty, in addition to the entire fuse panel which died killing the engine. Everything was covered under warranty, including the tow which was part of the free roadside assistance. FWIW my car is a 2009 Vantage.

The Multi point inspection is not covered even if your car is currently under the extended Aston Martin warranty ( like mine is) it needs to be performed before Aston Martin will extend your warranty.
