Stone guards
Stone guards
I just picked up a 2009 V8V and would like to put the stone guards on it. Where is the best place to get them? I'm about a hundred and fifty miles away from the closest dealer.
Thanks for the help.
Thanks for the help.
I purchased mine from Astonmartincarparts.com. Quick install and I think with shipping under $100. Although I have a DB9 They have little effect in my opinion. The sills and quarters after 8 months and 12000 of driving need to be refinished.
Does anyone know if stone guards are available for the rear fenders like the ones for the front fenders? I put the DBS wheels on the Vantage and the tires now sit flush with the wheel well. Would like to have something behind the rear wheel to help protect the rear fender and bumper.
I bought mine from Aston Martin bits. About the same price $100 or so. I had the dealer install them. The best way to protect the side of the car is a clear bra on the sills, and in the front of the rear fenders just behind the door's. I bought my car used with 2800 miles. I had the clear bra installed on the hood and the front bumper but did not do the sides and in the front of the rear fenders. After a trip to Monterey and back they were already pitted. Then I had the clear bra installed on the sills and in front of the rear fenders wished I had done it first .

I would like to see a picture of the part you're talking about. Are you referring to a mudflap? or clear film?

Looks simple enough to install. I hope i get used to the look, because the smooth rounded sills look great.
I did install them when I had the black 09. But they were already on my green car. Very simple installation. They do help quite a bit as I have no stone chips on the green car.
