Idler pulley 9G33

Idler pulley 9G33
With the exotic car driving season all done here in ontario canada,i have put my baby 2007 V8V away till spring, just thought i would start a check list and things to do over the winter months,, as i have only had the car since summer,not sure what was done in its previous ownerships, This came to my attension right away,
at some point The troublesome noisy idler pulley 6G33 was changed to the new two shoulder version 9G33, but the original drive belt was put back on 6G33. obviously
i am going to change the belt to the correct 9G33. ,just was wondering what the difference is in the belts.???., if it is shorter it would put more tension on the belt i guess
