ajmevans is infamous around these parts
DB9 power sockets (aka Cigarette light) will not work with USB adapter

This one has me puzzled both the outlets in the cabin and trunk will not work with one of those USB adapter plugs (which work fine in my other cars), odd thing is if you use it as intended the lighter heater element works...so fuses are OK, any one got an idea or cure for this...nice to be able to charge iPhone on long trips. I have tried ignition on and off, nada!

If the lighter-element works it means its primed. I suspect the iphone-charger. Try to measure voltage with a multimeter to rule things out.

I had once this little Chinese 2-USB pop-in charger which didn't work either when not pressed-in hard.
