Dent in my door removal advise please

seems I have been given on NYE a nice dent in my LH door, right on the round curve piece. just above the handle and about 4 inches back
Does anyone know if its possible to get that far up on the inside to push the dent out? or is that a part of the door that is double skinned?
I have looked at the pictures in the factory manual but I cannot see that far with the pics available.

I have used a guy who pushes out dents and does a very good job, but he has pointed out that its almost impossible to do that when the panel has the welded/bonded skin on the inside does this location, I point to in the pic have clear access to the dent from the inside.
I have placed masking tape to show the location but the pic will not be able to show the dent, the dent is between the two tape marks.

Any advise or help will be appreciated

larryg is infamous around these parts
Very risky to leave a special car anywhere.
My "sacrificial" car is an old Jeep.
Sorry about the damage.

Contact your local Aston dealer and find out who the TRUST their AM's to, especially if you have a relationship with them. There is a guy in Central Fl who is phenomenal. DO NOT let anyone without specific experience "try" to fix it. It's not an easy decision- Good luck.

I used a dent repair firm to hide a dent I had above the drivers door. They got it 98% removed, you would never notice it but because it was not 100% they did not charge... I gave them a $50 tip.

Dents in a crease area are tricky, you have two choices, either have a body shop drill a hole and use a dent puller or sand it down and use bondiglass and repaint. My 2 cents is to sand it and bondo it and have a bodyshop repaint the entire door and blend it in to the quarter panel and front fender.

I had a dent in that EXACT same location. My paintless dent repair guy - with my permission - drilled a small hole in the end of the door (near where all the plastic plugs for attaching the weatherstrip are) and was able to remove the dent completely. Now the end of my door has 4 plugs in it instead of 3. Looks completely stock and much better than a dent above the door handle. He did try first with a glue puller but the result didn't look good enough for me. Much depends on the shape and severity of the dent. Yours may be small enough for the glue puller to get the job done.

Please can you post a pic of where the hole is drilled I have a guy coming out next week (wanted him here today) but accept most normal people enjoy this time of the year and work is put on hold
He has done some dents in my other cars with great success, the issue is as he has pointed out in the past I have been lucky in that none of the dents have been near a weld or joint seam (not normally seen from the outside)
I have tried to look (after removing the rubber end boot) this round section where I have this dent seems to have a bonded section on the inside?

I will not even drive the car with the dent I'm right annoyed and sorta champing to find a exploded view or schematic of the door (metal work section)

I will post pics of any repair if attempted if it will assist fellow members?
So guys if anyone has a exploded drawing of the door it will be much appreciated, the factory manual is very vague

My dent guy said there was a reinforcing sheet behind that part of the door. But the door skin itself is not attached to it, the reinforcement just blocks access through the window slot, which is where they would normally insert the tools to push out a dent in the door skin. Drilling the hole let him get the tool in between the door skin and reinforcement and the dent came right out absolutely perfectly.

Here's a photo, you can really only see the new plug when looking at the door from a low angle in bright light. In regular use it is essentially invisible, especially on a dark-colored car.

I have a DB9 Workshop Manual, you might find what you are looking for in it. Good luck with the repair

Thanks Guys for all the help, i had the paintless dent guy in today.
Im glad to report that its 99.9 % gone, under UV light its slightly visible at a certain angle but we really need to look hard for it.
We did not have to drill in fact the man was not embracing the drilling issue, he battled for hours because of a rib almost masking were he needed to get his skilled hands.
We needed to remove the window glass and what a pain to install.
Im a bit happier now than I was the weekend. I have not had a chance to drive it and hope that there is no window wind noise. ( I had time to clean it and polish it )

Pics of the man doing his magic.

Glad it turned out for you!

Now the trick is to keep your imagination in check so that you aren't convinced you see a dent that is no longer there!

Aaaah .... So I'm not alone with this paranoia

I been running my hand over it looking at different angles, different light, I'm sure us enthusiasts don't live a full life like other men who don't care about these little things. My wife has suggested therapy

Thanks for the help
Greg
