My driver's side wiper is making a clonking noise both in the transition between full up and the downward sweep and when returning to rest.


It's not binding on anything. I think it may be that I need a new wiper, but was wondering if there is anything else it could be. Had a listen and thought it might be coming from the place where the arm disappears into the mount, but I might be incorrect.


Is there any known issues that would cause this?


Car is a 2006 AM Vantage V8.
