DB9 Linn 950 fade
DB9 Linn 950 fade
When listening to FM radio, the front speakers fade in and out and it drives me NUTS. I saw a Vantage thread it is caused by the bad FM reception and another person said it was caused by corroded BT wires and again they were talking about a Vantage.
Anybody know what causes this to happen in a DB9 and is there anyway to improve the FM reception in these cars?

I have the same car and I will tell you that this radio is the absolute worst installed in any AM. I spent 7k for a new system replacing everything except the head unit and the difference in sound is amazing. Rivals the Bose system in terms of audio quality. The FM reception, however, still sucks and my research indicates that because of the antenna design that there is nothing that can be done about this. I would love for someone out there to prove me wrong and tell me what to do. Reception is great if you are sitting in the parking lot of the radio station. Anyone have any ideas?
Perhaps you live closer to your stations......Here in the midwest we find ourselves 60 to 90 miles from many stations. I KNOW by comparing my AM to my other cars that the AM reception is substandard.
