Obviously you should buy/wear whatever makes you happy, so please take the following with a grain of salt. I would recommend against Panerai for two reasons. They're not very well regarded among watch brands and therefore likely won't hold their value very well. But secondly they're quite large and a bit ostentatious at least to me. I think that's kind of the opposite of what you want to go with an Aston, which is much more timeless and understated, like a Patek Philippe. My point is that a Panerai is kind of like a BMW i8 -- it looks sexy now but won't be in style in 10 years. Just my two cents.
Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch Moonphase (manual, caliber 1866)
Zenith El Primero, Claude Vermot limited series (automatic, 36000vph)
Tag Heuer 50th Motorsport Anniversary (caliber 1887, leather strap)
Rolex Explorer II

I noticed through my previous post that several of us are watch collectors. Does anyone out there have the JLC that opens the car doors? If so, I'd love to hear your impressions.
Since we are on the topic, what's your favorite watch to wear while driving your Aston. Collectors and others are welcome to chime in.
Mine would be my A. Lange and Sohne Langematik Perpetual when in a suit and probably my Royal Oak Offshore when in my jeans on the weekend.

I landed in a secluded place with a young Blonde Milf this afternoon.....she did not care if i was wearing a watch.....
Watches are great, Astons are great, however being the captain is the key (I cannot be a captain of industry because Im to stupid)
I always wonder how my humble life would have been If i was a hedge fund manager or banker?
Ive seen a man pull a chic with a fancy watch, Ive seen them fall in the pub after afew drinks...but a Helicopter will always out perform any watch...
just saying
