Aston Extended Warranty-is it worth $$$$ ??

Gents

My warranty is going to end in June. So I've thinking about extending it. I got quote for 2 year around $5k, Just had timing cover gasket replaced under warranty. Tech left steering rack bolts loose, had to tow it back in & they are offering me discounted price on extended warranty. But according to Galpin Aston they have to do annual service for whopping $1200 for oil change & brake fluid change with visual flash light inspection
I do all of my regular services in my own repair shop.
Question is it worth to invest for extended warranty which doesn't cover any wear & tear items. Has anyone had any good or bad experience with later model 4.7 engine Vantages?? My car is 2013, with manual trans, with 6k miles. Any thoughts???

Thanks
Avo

For my 07 it wasn't... That car was really reliable and while the one year extended warranty gave me piece of mind, I never needed it. My 2013 S has over 15,000 miles on it and now into its third year and the car has been great. That said, come October when the warranty is up I wonder what I'll do...

First, search, there are other threads on the subject where you'll probably find more information.

Short answer for me was; yes I got it and it was worth it. I ended up with the timing chain cover leak. Certainly something not as prevalent on the 4.7, but I did read a thread recently where someone said they had it occur on a 4.7.

For me - I always get the extended warranty - last week I had an issue with an Audi A3 I had an extended warranty - pretty much paid for itself

SVO,
Was your mechanic DOUG? That is who works on my Vanyage at GALPIN. I think you can get a better deal. I bought my extended warranty in December for one year for $2900 + $300 inspection fee.
