Hi all:

Anyone know how to remove the airbag and steering wheel from the continental/flying spur? I bought the oem 3-spoke wood/leather type to replace the 3-spoke leather only type in my 09 flying spur but i don't see any access panels to pull the airbag so i can pull the wheel. Are there tutorial sheets for this?

Turn wheel to face 3 and 9 o clock, should expose holes to unscrew steering wheel. Best use some loctite on steering wheel nut.

If you are unsure best leave it to the pros. You may need to calibrate steering angle sensor and such if you unplug battery.

So it's screws on the back? What size?

 

I have never seen any screws, turn the wheel so the two access holes are visible on the rear of wheel as stated earlier, then insert flat head screwdriver in and turn, one side will be counter clockwise and the other clockwise to release the airbag from the wheel.


See slots in picture, you will be inserting the flathead between the two pins, not on the edge of one, meaning you just rotate the flathead, not angle it like prying.
