I did a drive last year rotating through six cars with six drivers: V8V convertible, F430 couple, Bentley convertible, Maserati convertible, Audi R8 V10 convertible, and Jaguar F type R convertible. The F430 outdrive every one of them but the F type was the one that made me laugh out loud. Instantaneous power, backfiring exhaust, and tail happy handling. Not the best driving of the bunch, and probably most likely to kill me, but definitely the most fun of the group. The coupe is also damn good looking. Having said that, I'm keeping my Vantage.

 

Why are you keeping the Vantage? It sounds like you like the F type better.

 

In that particular drive the Aston was a sport shift automatic convertible. Mine is a six speed manual coupe. I find both the interior and exterior more beautiful on the Vantage than the F type, and it's rarer, and it's an Aston. In other words, I have plenty of fun with my car, I just wanted to chime in that the F type is a hoot.

 

Haha..funny thing is, I say this all the time in the shop..Jag techs tend to get a little upset though :-P
