Thanks SierraV12V, that was the exact confirmation and picture I was looking for to pull the trigger.

There are bars on each side to prevent the lift from lowering but I prefer to put a couple jack stands under the lift platform as a back up just in case.
I looked online at this last night and was intrigued. I just don't know if I do enough work on my cars anymore to warrant getting one.
BTW are they difficult to store? can you hang them on the wall?

They are pretty low profile, 3" tall when folded which I believe is low enough to drive over so you could store them under the car. I'm normally use these for my track car so they're store under it...which is lower than the V12V. Each panel weighs about 70 lbs so you could store them on the wall but it would be a little bit of a pain lifting them up.

There are rollers on one end so you can roll them around, pretty easy to maneuver without breaking your back.

Got a quote in Canada for the 5000lb version, including shipping and tax and wow Canadian money is not worth much. Quote was $2300 delivered to my house :-(

Hadn't seen the QuickJack before, going to have to check those out. Looks like that'd be perfect for me.

Well you only live once so I pull the trigger and made the purchase of the 5000lb QuickJack, it will make maintenance a lot easier on me... not getting any younger these days.

Thanks SierraV12V for showing us what a great tool can do for you.
