DBS hood for DB9
I already enquired regarding the one on this link.
https://www.astonmartinbits.com/models/3-DBS/parts/1160
It will not fit my DB9.

Hello guys,
I bought a DBS hood 2 years ago from Astonmartinbits.com, and the weight feels wrong (too heavy).
When sanding it before painting, I could clearly see the carbon pattern (so for sure it looks like to be made in carbon), but the weight looks too high compare to an "original" DBS hood.
Any thoughts?

If it was sold as genuine from astonmartinbits, then it was genuine. They are far too big and respected a company to try it on. It may be heavier than you expected because as an OEM part, it needs to be structurally stable and strong enough to pass crash regs. Its not a lightweight replacement you might find for a tuner car.
IF ANYONE has a Volante they are doing this too I have a 2013 DB9 CF trunk lid that is ready for paint and install. I will sell it for a steal. SpeedRacer800 also originally purchased this to go with that DBS hood. However it was for a volant not a coupe. Only thing someone needs to make sure it will work on a pre-2013 model.
Hello there. Yes I’m quite keen to get a DBS hood for my 09 DB9 Volante. Please send pictures. When you say CF hood does it Coso sticky look different toe the earlier one ?
