So wondering if you purchase an aston martin from either a non aston martin dealer or a private party, can you purchase an extended warranty direct from aston martin so long as the vehicle is less than 10 years old?

 

Yes. I just paid the warranty for my private party (through Park Place) purchased Vantage last Friday.

You need the PPI or 140 point check (from annual service). Within one month after the PPI or service, you can add the warranty through an AM dealer.

 

I was at a dealer this past weekend and they have a car that's about to hit the 10 yr mark on 6/6/16, so they said that car would NOT be eligible for an extended warranty, trying to confirm that still actually.

 

The warranty can be extended for a total of 12 years. If the car is less than 10 years old and has had the PPI completed it is eligible for up to a 24-month extended warranty.

 

Well, then clearly this dealership (Motorcars of Georgia) is not interested in doing this then.

This is the car I was looking at, test drove it last weekend and it was nice, has had a good amt of work done on it from the last owner who had a warranty. But negatives include door struts that are shot, 1 ding on the door they said they'd touch up, another noticeable but light scratch on the hood I didn't bring up, and 1 key and fob, no manuals whatsoever.
