Anyone know of a good source for Porterfield brakes? Maybe one that currently has a Black Friday weekend sale

Can anyone share how R4 and R4S bite when cold compared to the Pagid 4-2-2s? Or compared to any other pad. Does the R4 have less cold bite than the R4S?

I don't care about the dusting or the squealing (it's not that loud inside the car :P), but a higher friction coefficient (esp cold) would be really nice since the brake pedal is pretty heavy on the V8V, and fade resistance to 600C would be nice if I took the car to a track. Supposedly the Pagid racing compounds have good cold bite but those pads are really expensive and I wouldn't be using them to their full potential. The higher temp Carbotech, Ferodo, and Hawk pads supposedly don't do as well as the OEM Pagid when cold so that's no good. HP+ is supposed to have good bite but they can't go over 500C.

I've driven EBC Yellows on my old Toyota before and honestly they didn't feel any more aggressive than the OEM Toyota pads, so I am not very willing to try EBC yellow/blue even though they advertise great cold bite.

Maybe I just need to cough up the money for Pagid RSL29 or R14 but I'm hoping there some other option that gets me what I want.
