Had the headlights wet sanded and re-clear coated. Looks brand new! Putting the center console back together - fascinating to see how it's constructed.
Thanks for the pic - I've put the LED halos in a few times on other cars (mostly older BMW's) and tied in a relay so they come on at ignition and suffice for Canadian DRL laws (just bright white light).
I wanted the V8V to use an LED COB (strip) halo though so there is no visible LED's. I'll check with Oracle, but I'm thinking that I will be dismantling the headlight tonite and will measure the two shrouds for the correct diameter.
Yours in the red & gold are quite appropriate for the overall car. Not my cup o' tea though - I'm old and conservative
I see, perhaps you could have a local plastics guy fabricate an acrylic shroud around the halos and then wet sand the part so the lights diffuse? And my halos (and all the other bling lights) are all on separate switches so I can drive totally stock but then turn on when valet parking at the Vegas night clubs! Haha
Put the 24ct gold plated housing back on. Looks so good in person. Needed: plastic scratch cleaner, liquid gold foil hobby paint and printable foil, matte satin black spray, ruler and lots and lots of time on photoshop!
Thanks for the encouragement! Left the upholsterer today to take it back to the shop to install the front end and headlights.. Was quite the nerve racking drive considering the top won't close at the moment, and the looks I got driving a convertible AM without a front end, side mirrors, door panels or interior panels was priceless... Lol
Why "Rolex" when it is not a Rolex? I appreciate your making the clock gold to match the rest of your work (thought it wouldn't be my choice), clearly if you wanted to have a real Rolex movement in there, you can afford it, so printing rolex there just seems fake in contrast to everything else you've done. My $.01.
