Great read!!! My sisters all can drive a manual via my Father; he taught us all.

I'm trying to raise "cool" daughters but they aren't interested in learning.

Neither of my boys know how to drive manual transmission cars. I'd like to let them drive my sports cars but I didn't want them learning to use a clutch on those cars especially the Vantage. I'm not sure how to remedy that.

 

Buy the absolute cheapest manual-transmission beater you can. If it craps out, send it to the scrap yard and buy another.

 

This is what I was going to suggest. Go to Car Max of a used car lot. Let them bet the **** out of it for a few months. Then they are set, and ready for your cool cars.

I recommend BMW e30 325is... Great beater to learn on. You can get them for next to nothing
