I'll first apologize because I'm sure this has been covered many times before...
Can someone who has actually done the job give me a quick review of how to run a microphone cable from the Alcantara "pod" behind the rearview mirror to the center console (I already have the console dismantled, so I don't need instructions on that).
Alternatively, if I can just snip the existing microphone off and splice into its cable, I'd be happy to do that instead (as long as the other end of it can be captured somewhere in the center console area).
