about to purchase--overpaying?
That guy was very genuine and he really helped me figure out what a fair offer price was on mine. I loved the red color, was just looking for a manual. He gave me a lot of insight about our local dealer and service dept. Crazy that we all have to travel thousands of miles to get these cars--inefficient market.
I personally wouldn't buy a 10 year old car that only had 6K miles on it. You know what they say about a rolling stone, right? Heck at 6k it barely has enough miles to shake out any factory gremlins. I would want a car with at least 1500 miles a year on the odo.
For what its worth a couple of years ago I bought my 2007 Vantage with 3700 miles on it.
A year later I had to have the timing cover replaced and service bulletin 0236 performed soon after. Very low mileage has pros and cons. Having said that, if its the color you want and the options you want go ahead and buy it. Be prepared for the timing cover gasket replacement, about $3K.
