Broken Nav Door Hinge - not the gears

Unclipped the nav door, pulled my ski slope off and the nav door stayed behind. I apparently broke the nav door hinges on both sides. I can either order a new ski slope or try to fix it and then order a new ski slope, so trying to fix it first. I ordered a plastic repair kit from a company named Plastex that appears to bond to existing plastic and can repair cracks and can be molded into tabs. I'm hoping I can recreate the hinges. Has anyone else run into this?

I haven't broken those but make sure you pay attention to the replacement parts for it. There are plastic ones and metal ones, and they are NOT compatible with each other, or interchangeable, nor can they use the veneers that the other was supplied with.

I see that from the adds for the various versions. These, on the gunmetal version, are integral to the larger part and cannot be replaced independent of the fascia as the piano or wood ones, unfortunately. Hence my hope that a repair will be successful.

The truly unfortunate thing is that I could easily suppliment the plastic loops with a metal part and mount it to the side of the existing plastic but the hinge lives in a very narrow slot and there is not enough witch for another thickness of material along side the existing loops as far as I can tell.

I glued a flat metal washer to the side that closely matched the original broken opening.

Inside or outside of the door?

On the outside ( where the peg goes thru the broken hole).

I have recreated the hinges with Plastex (same as plast-aid). It's a plastic powder material that is solidified with a solvent. They also offer fiberglass material for reinforcement. Hopefully this holds.
