To day hand the wheels off to put on new porterfield r4s brake pads. Had them on my last Aston and they work very well and make hardly any dust. As long as the wheels were off was a good time to put on the new door struts. What a joy to have the doors actually stay open. Should make getting in and out much easier. It is amazing how much dirt and sand falls out when you take out the fender liners.

 

Congrats on the purchase. Looks even better in the bright sunlight. I'm sure its good to be back in an Aston!

 

The tires on the car are the original tires. So the new Michelin Pilot Super Sports that I ordered came today. I figured this would be a good time for wheels with a bit more aggressive offsets. The wheels are scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. I'll post some pictures once they are mounted and on the car.

 

I'm really eager to know how the ride quality changes. I have an 09 w/sport pkg and was a little surprised at just how firm the ride is. Then I looked at the tires and realized they're OE Potenzas.

 

Well the wheels came today and had the local tire store mount and balance the tires. But the wheels don't fit they hit the calipers. When I ordered the wheels I had them confirm that they would fit my car. Bummer!

No he didn't have his name on the sill plates. I had Tony Hall make some for me.
