Impressive garage as always, Ron!

On your garage door, how do you have the tracks arranged? I assume you have them close to the ceiling but I do not see the door at all in the first photo with it open. I assume you are using a jackshaft style garage door opener as well?

Looks great! Love the lifts. My grandparents also moved from AR to Oxnard in the 40's. Lived there myself when I was young.

Impressive! I wish I could keep mine that clean. Eventually I should get motivated and epoxy the floor/paint the walls.

The door is a roll up, and the tracks are about 6" from the ceiling. The garage opener, is a side mount. It is on the wall next to the garage door. That way there is no opener in the middle of the garage.

Nice set-up Ron. I have a friend in Hermosa Beach that just bought a home with a tall 2 car garage. He went with a similar setup with one 4-post lift for now. Chamberlain now makes a side mount opener, Liftmaster 8500, that I just installed on one of my doors. It runs great and is well out of the way. I state this for others who may want to know.

What a great car.

Sorry to derail the topic, but here I go.

I don't care what others say about that car being underpowered or that it's too pedestrian or not European or whatever else they say, it's absolutely fantastic to drive. Better than many, many more expensive "sports" cars. The steering, shifting, suspension are all very direct and have a great precision feel. The driving position is perfect and the chassis is so playful and easy to control/place. I suggest it to anyone asking for a recommendation on a sports car. If I didn't have the Elise, a BRZ would have been sitting in my garage a long time ago.

Those big panels roll up? Do you have any pictures of that?

I agree that is why I bought it. And I had an 2005 Elise and a 2011 Evora as well.

I just moved into a new place with a separate 2 stall with shop above. Lots of great possibilities.

Very cool set up. You could have a rack in there no problem, and you could standup under the car. How high is your ceiling?

Thanks. The ceiling is 9'8", there's a truss at 8'8" that I think I could clear with the hood of the Lotus. I'd have to do some work on the garage door to raise it though.

You could have a garage door company instal commercial tracks with a larger radius. I had that done on our Flagler house and it put the garage door really close to the ceiling.

Stunning set up!
Just a oftopic question? Why did you bullet the mustang?
I just got the new fast back 5l GT and it's just a hoot to drive, ok it's not as nice inside as the German or British cars but it's alright, see you replaced it with a Toyota with a smaller motor ? Why gas cost nothing when you are and you can light the back wheels when you want? I'm loving mine

What is under the red cover?
