Takes about 1 hour for exterior wash and 30 minutes to dry with my admittedly inferior leaf blower.

@Hedged email me above and I can help you immensely with your process and it wont take you an hour any longer. And it will be better.

Where in NC are you. I know there is a member in Asheville and CLT and maybe one near Raleigh.

At some point in the next year, I will be in CLT for several days and if close could help. Anyway, email if you would like more on this

Are there any high end marque dealerships near your house or a used car dealership with high end cars near by? They'll do detail work beyond their own inventory.

If I lived near you, I'd help you out myself!

I personally would suggest NOT to do this. I have never seen (including in Washington DC; Lambo and F dealer) a dealer's detailers do a correct wash, dry and Paint Correction. Most do not even know what a Paint Correction is. I have been shocked.

However, they do know how to use a High Speed Rotary buffer with a wool cutting pad. Welcome to Hologram City, which you see on most any dealer used car.

Only proper Paint Correction techniques will provide the end result, and even in Tampa there didnt appear to be anyone who did this work as of 2016.

In Orlando----Brian Guy is the person who does proper and stellar work. Cant remember his business but if you google him you will find it.

Or me, lol, I will help other AM owners but not do it for a business or personal gain. I may be in FL tampa area in FEB to live, but not sure at this point

I don't think the OP is looking for paint correction, but just a regular detailing. I'd agree that most dealerships are not the place for paint correction level of work. Was the OP looking for 1k+ details? I would venture to say no.

Yes, you are correct, but he did say he previously had a paint correction on it.

Regular detail to me is a thorough wash and clean, then a sealant put on top of the paint. (maybe a one step polish sealant) But thats it. That specific difference between what is done is lost on many people. Me too before I knew what a paint correction fully was.

I just say stay away from dealers for everything. They are bad news. But, if a local detailer is used, just ask what they use product wise, and tools and their process and a lot would be just fine for basic detailing.

I would like to thank “SheriffDep” for going beyond just giving me advice on a subject that he is very knowledgably about.
He offered me his private email address and encouraged me to contact him. He then offered a list of possible solutions, cognizant of my age and health, that he thought would work for me.
Once we decided on what I needed, he purchased these items for me, at his discount, and told me not to repay him until the items were in my position.
This is going beyond just advice on an internet list.

I appreciate it.

Thanks again

Your very welcome. I am always very happy to help AM members or anyone for that matter. I DO NOT run a business for the detailing items. I do have a discount at several places in order to keep my personal costs down for my cars. All I did was pass that along to a member along with knowledge for what he needed. This was the first time I did this, normally will just refer to certain websites or to a known Paint Corrector in your area. Always happy to help, just wanted to explain so no forum sponsors would be upset with me helping someone out with this.
