2003 aston martin vanquish instrument guage cluster help
Hi Guys and Gals, Newbie to this Forum - first time posting - hoping I can find a little help, direction and any suggestion/tips.
-> 2003 Aston Martin Vanquish V12
I am trying to find out how to remove the instrument panel leather cover that surrounds instrument panel cluster - basically the guages ... if anyone has a write up, knows of any resources and can maybe point me in the right direction - I would great appreciate it....
The Story:
My Instrument panel has the dreaded GEARBOX FAULT code displayed at startup and Constantly on.
After having AM inspect and research the issue, AM concluded there is nothing actually wrong with the Gear Box and it is a faulty code...they did the road test, run drives well, nothing slipping shifting as well as this clunky mania/auto will shift. After reading the codes here is what they concluded.
The ISSUE - is the the buzzer relay located inside the instrument panel itself is defective and the entire Instrument Cluster needs to be replaced...the buzzer relays is kicking off the Gearbox Fault Error... Well the is great news, and the better great news is I have a slightly used but guaranteed to work 2003 Instrument Cluster.. Paid $500 for it, not the $3,000 at AM... further more AM wants another $2800 for the installation... I have swapped these on my Porsches several times several model, technical enough to get it done my self....
So looking for suggestions, tips, guidance, any write-ups, pictures you guys may have.. basically how do i remove the Instrument Cover and Swamp the Instrument Cover?
AM will reprogram the Custer to math the correct miles once complete.
Thanks much in advance

sorry just realised its a Vanquish - instructions below for Vantage & DB9 - suspect Vanquish similar but not sure
hope you get a proper answer
Vantage
really easy
hands both sides of leather shroud - pull up evenly but firmly & it will pop off
front is held by phillips head screw on strap at centre. remove screw & its off
dont be scared to pull up - the clips will release
very simple

Will try AMOC not sure if alive, new owner so still getting my bearing navigating the forums and resources... just picked her up this past Saturday.. Will post some pics after I get rid of the horrific 20 inch HRE Wheels and 2008 Tires on the car... I did the see the Vantage video posted by redpants.lol, but not sure it the same process. the Vantage pulls right off and cover is really just a cover... the Vanquish sort of wraps around the entire Instrument Cluster on both sides, so hesitant to apply force - suspect it is clips as i could not figure out any way to get in there... but will take the patient approach and hope someone with a little experience can guide me...
Thanks for chiming in gents... hopefully someone with experience stumbles on to the thread... Next up figuring out how to PM...

Unfortunately I cannot give out guide/step-by-step procedures, I have to stay with in my limits of info, when I overstep..I get a nice phone call(I'm still dealer/factory owned). I can give advise on steps but cannot layout complete WSM procedures(over steps the reasons why www.astonmartintechinfo.com is available for 1-day subscriptions to public). The cluster removal is pretty straight forward, nothing really hidden besides the bolts that hold the lower knee bolster, remove the steering column covers and you'll see them there, also separate the cluster hood from the knee bolter. The cluster hood does slide horizontally into location so don't pull to far upwards or you will bend the hooking plate. It's not the hardest job but is awkward for accessing the bolts/nuts.
