DB9 accident damage
I was driving back to the office in Mississauga, Ontario today and to my heart's dismay this flatbed pulled up next to me at a traffic light.

I've definitely seen this car on Highway 401 last summer but I don't know the owner.
Based on the plate frame it was purchased used from torontoautobrokers.
When it pulled into a business park area the very next block, I knew of the autobody shop in there so I stopped by after work to see how bad the front end damage was.

Bad news - a hood and a fender are not cheap
Good news - somehow both headlight clusters and the bumper cover don't have a mark on them.

Sorry to see a beautiful Aston injured.
Hopefully it's covered by insurance and the paintwork matches nicely upon completion of the repairs.
If it was me, I'd be upgrading the grill to something newer as well

Might just be
Hood, Fender, Grille, some brackets and thats it. 10k or so. Not totaled worth by looks of the pictures.
Depending on where in the country this happens, someone might say it could be buffed out!

Has to be way more than 10K. Was talking to local dealer on the Rapide front end conversion, and parts alone were 15K. I got a quote to paint the front end of my Vantage to repair stone chips and that was 11K from an Aston Certified shop. I bet that damage is 20K+ from certified repair facility.
Looks mostly cosmetic to me . Now hood and fender and some brackets etc .
Hopefully they didnt damage the rad or AC condenser etc .
It would depend who is paying for the repair and level of expectation on the fix. I would look towards only shops that are Aston Martin certified to repair the car. In my locale, I think there are only two shops that are certified.

Any bodyshop that can do Aluminum repair would be more than capable to fix any Aston Martin, we have a very capable shop here that fixes Audi, Porsche, Lambo, etc and for the front bumper respray is well under $1000 cdn so under $750 usd. And from previous job they did on a BMW Jarrez Black you couldn't tell, perfect match. That bodyshop is north of Montreal and called Certified Collision Center Europa
looks like a pickup truck backed into it or something tall did at least as the bumper fascia is untouched
still makes me sad to see this... I had some idiot teenager pull out in front of me yesterday not looking at all... thankful of the big brakes and my aware driving in this car for sure

I would want it written off. Getting the paint just right would be a nightmare imho. Buy the time they blend the paint back into the doors you might as well paint the entire car. The diminished value would be what? 20k. This is why I have front and rear dash cams and an agreed upon value insurance policy on my car. Sucks.

The question comes in, would you want a Aston that has a ding on its carfax? That in this case would be my biggest thought, no matter the price.
