The Evora V6 rev's just as high as Vantage V8; neither cars have a red line on the tach. That being said, most the guys I talk to at the local AM-Lotus say they would take a Vantage over an Evora 400 for similar money. I don't think any of them are hardcore sports car/track guys though

For the Vantage make sure it has the Sport Suspension which is standard on some later iterations. The Aston Martin buyers guide is a must have before buying a used AM. So much detail on each iteration and I thought I was pretty up to date on... Makes your search so much better and it's like $30 for the book.
Warranty certification can be newly applied to a car 10 years old or less. It can be continued indefinitely once the car has the warranty.

I speak of the suspension witchcraft to my Porsche friends and they don't believe me.... more comfortable and compliant than my 5 series, yet sharper than my 911(PASM) when you push it. The engine isn't laggy at all but as good as it sounds, its just not a high revving, naturally aspirated V8. And for that reason - I'm out

GTS. I see these trade just over 100K and they are somewhat rare and hard to come by. As other mentioned.... I like actual buttons in my ancillary cars but am intrigued by the convenience of apple car play; even though this is dead last on a list of priorities.

GT. I see these trading at ~80 for low mileage examples

I seems like the 20-25K premium is more a function of the steep depreciation of these cars in the first couple years more than the GTS actually being worth more. Correct?

Aston's site is pretty poor for consolidating all the used cars with certification at dealers across the country.... any other resources? My perfect spec is a manual GT with the graphics, carbon fiber exterior bits and full leather, black interior. Sport package/exhaust also. Let me know if you see anything like this and thanks for the constructive comments on my newbee thread.
Thanks for the compliments, the GT graphics are an option and can be removed because they are stickers. The lipstick in the A pillar rails are painted on and wear an option as well. Finding leather may be difficult because the car is mostly came with Alcan Tara cloth. The sports exhaust system is standard on the GT as far as I know. There were two suspensions available comfort and support my car came with comfort which I think is the best compromise.
Apple CarPlay was stated on the Aston Martin website as being available in 2016, however my car is a 2016 and does not have it and it cannot be retrofitted, I believe it was a 2017 and up feature.

I have a 2 year warranty on my 2010. I was told by the dealer that it could not be extended past the 10 year anniversary. I would be interested to find that it can be extended further, although I don't know if I actually would.

There may not be a red line on the tach but there is certainly a red light that comes on around 7000 and a rev limiter at 7200

We're both Kerbeck and I was told the same, and Perfurbia always moves on to his next when he can no longer renew the warranty.

Check out listingallcars(dot)com--it's a listing aggregator.

Also, if you look around, you'll see that there are posts about phone integration into the older cars (thread started by Redpants). May not be as seamless as factory integration, but it's an impressive retrofit. And as stated, I don't know if the 2016s actually had Apple CarPlay.

And I just want to reiterate that the book would be a huge help as far as informing you of the available specifications. For example, I think you'd probably want a car with the sport pack suspension.

Yes - Sport Pack is high on the list of priorities but I'd consider a car without for the right deal. Car will get KW coilovers at some point after a year or 2 if the car connects emotionally and ends up a keeper like the Porsche. I don't testify to them being the best on the track but I've loved them on every street car that's been equipped with them.

BT would be nice to have but low on priorities. My 911 has it and it is kind of bad compared to the Bimmer. I put a ton of miles on the bimmer and the quiet cabin makes for this to be a nice experience - even with the sunroof cracked for cigar smoke to escape on the highway.

For those of you that use BT - how well does it work inside such a loud car? Also, the "loud car" in this case is what I am looking for. Not rattly or tinny but engine/exhaust and likely some tire noise.

BT for music or phone calls?

And the Vantage can be as loud or quiet as you want it... if you leave the exhaust fuse in, it's really quiet under 3k rpm... if you bypass the fuse, everything changes.

Phone calls... I'm old school and still prefer CD's for music!

The phone Bluetooth for music and phone calls works great in my 2016 GT.
I also have the B&O stereo, it rocks. I really don't miss Apple car play with the built in Nav in my car. That is way better than the system in my 2007 Vantage.
My 2016 will also read you a text message hand free.

My BT works very well, and like sonies 2010, the car isn't that loud, but I've never had trouble understanding what was being said and nobody ever asked me to repeat because they didn't hear.

For the first year it was fairly frustrating as I would have to resync my phone weekly, but they did a flash for my mirrors [which would randomly decide to move to full right/left view] and ever since my phone has stayed synced [and the mirrors have never moved since]. They can be buggie cars but sometimes a simple reflash of the software fixes everything.

Bluetooth for calls is crystal clear for me, as well.

An Aston makes me remember how to get to places as don't want to use the Nav unless I really need it. I never turn it for just seeing map while I drive.
