2019 Vantage drives

After a bit of searching I could not find any threads about the 2019 Vantage and specifically the recent driving events occurring across the US. Forgive me if they exist and I wasn't savvy enough to find them.

Has anyone here taken the new Vantage for a drive? I did recently (Thank you AM) and really enjoyed it. I regret not letting the drive pro have the wheel and drive it more aggressively than I did, but the experience was great and the car, IMO is much better then the previous generation. Was there a nondisclosure agreement that I didn't notice? Curious to hear your thoughts and experiences.

Personally compared to my V12S, there was zero - nada - nothing I liked better about the new Vantage on the drive and the feel and the handling and the look (except the tires and now right-sized). There's a new White Vantage for sale at Morries in Minneapolis - $207K for a V8 Vantage - did I say also I did not like the price of the new one either.

You can get the left over 2017 V12S Vantages at dealers who are discounting them heavily - a far better car in my opinion and the last of the elegant sports cars.

Thanks! How did I not find that?

That China Gray is beautiful, I'm glad someone took the time to take such great photos.

If I were going to buy one, China Grey with carbon fiber is what I'd do. I'm not really sold on it, for the price, though... would rather a McLaren 570GT if I were going to spend $200k on something like that.

That other thread seems to have some strong opinions on it, especially from the 'dislike' crowd. I thought it drove much better than the previous V8V.

One comment I noticed a few times was that the boot was smaller. I said that too when I opened it and was quickly corrected that it is larger than the previous model. I believe them, but it certainly looked smaller.

I personally liked the interior more than the prior as well, although I do get, and agree, that it has less of a 'gentleman's sports car' feel and more of a 'modern sports car' feel. Most importantly, where was the pen? Perhaps they just didn't point it out to me.

The pen disappeared years ago (2012.25MY?) with the addition of the Sport button.

That was meant to be a little bit of a joke, but I appreciate the reply.

Put it in Neutral then engage the parking brake. It is not an automatic transmission -- there is no Park.

On the manuals, the sport button is where the lamy pen is... didn't realize the sportshift models had the sport button next to the drive modes.
