Tail light condensation

Has anybody ever tried drilling a hole in the side of the tail light?
trying to avoid heating the lense and re-glueing.

I drilled mine under in 3 spots, the 3 lowest spot I saw where water could pool. Done that 2yrs ago and haven't had any condensation since, would love to show you exactly where I did it but I am not removing my lights and didn't take any pictures at the time

No as water goes in from the top and gets out the bottom so I drilled the bottom and solved my issue, I don't go out of my way to drive my car in the rain but if I get caught in it oh well and it gets a hand wash twice a week... so far so good
