I traded in my 2007 Vantage on my 2016 GT in 2016. It was the Aston Martin east coast press car. It was loaded up with a tone of options. It is a wonderful car. I love the six speed manual, and the fact that it is one of last Aston Martin / Jag V8's.I was going to delete the side stripes as well, But in the end I decided to leave them on. You can't go wrong with a used one of these, wait and find the one that you really want, and keep it for a long time and drive the hell out of it.
Ron
I would keep the stripes as well. I believer there is a similar spec'd car around Boston.
You're quite right - the car is beautiful, I was commenting more on the fact the silver just 'pops' in the pics! Yes, I'd be grateful if you do stop by to take a peek and let me know your thoughts on any cosmetic blemishes.
I went to see the car today. It's super mint. Never driven in the winter from south shore of Boston area. What's even more crazy is that car sold new for only $104K! First owner got quite a deal on that. Has two sets of floor mats. No stone chips or anything. Really a fantastic car by any measure. No shrinkage on the dash. The sales guy printed me a window sticker I can post if you want. I went in also to swap the batteries in my key fobs; a whopping $11.50. The service tech says I may need the rebuild kit on the crystal key the next go around.

Nice - yes, I'd be interested in seeing the window sticker by email if you can - matt at swiftlane dotnet
I can then take it up with the sales folks directly.
You do realize this just about a base car. There are a lot of these GT’s out there. Make sure it has what you want.
if the options don’t mean that mush to you. And you like the color. Than it is a good deal.
Ron
Thanks for posting the build sheet - yeah, I am obviously still learning about the different options that were offered - this really is a 'stripper' model. Honestly, if I had ordered a new GT at the time, that's possibly how I would have done it. In New Car money, you can easily add $20K of options plus taxes and end up with the exact same driving experience. This coming from a guy with a radio delete in his 'RS' 993
That said, as a used buyer, I am thinking ahead to what the market will be if and when it comes time to sell. I could see this being a harder sell and more limited market car, especially after I put some miles on it. Not saying it's not the right car for the right person, but the price would have to reflect that IMO. My gut says $20K 'saved' in options up front is probably approaching $5-$10K off used resale (or just much harder to move)…
I would be interested to hear about what options you all think are truly worthwhile on the GT (vs. fluff). If you have window stickers, or individual option MSRP's to share that would be very helpful, I'd be grateful. I am trying to get up to speed as quickly as possible, still waiting on the Gaydon Vantage guide which I hope will answer many of these questions.
So... what options would YOU want? Which options would you pass on/no value to YOU?

Indented leather, two tone leather, contrast stitching, different color carpets. Is double pane glass an option in the Vantage? I love it in the Rapide.
Thank you. Anyone else care to share their thoughts on 'the' options to hold out for, and why?
If anyone has Vantage GT (or S) dealer window stickers to share/post as well, that would be very informative. I don't think there's anything confidential about these - just the breakdown of initial MSRP?
Attached is the window sticker for a 16 GT Roadster I was looking at buying. This car was highly optioned so most things you are asking about are listed.
As for what the "must haves" are - that's really subjective based on what you consider important. For me, the Tech Package and heated seats were big ones for me (I live in CO where spring and fall can get chilly).
FWIW - notice the MSPR on this car was $155k when new. The car was last offered for sale in October around $94k with 6k miles from an AM dealer before the listing was pulled and (I assume) the car was sold.
The upgraded stereo is worth it, the leather in the GT is nice but not as nice as a regular Vantage - my 2015 GT had the grey (white) interior and the seat bolster wore thru on the dye in the first 6,000 miles - I was going to have Aston replace the seat leathers (under warranty) but decided to trade up to a V12S before the covers were replaced. The GT is essentially the same as a Vantage S but with a wee bit less of the high grade finishes. If you are looking at any car I'd highly recommend purchasing the original window sticker for $8 - see https://monroneylabels.com/ I believe the 2016 GT (its likely a GTS) is better optioned than the 2015 - but they came in at a bargain price then changed to not be so low as I remember.
Take a look at my info on the bottom of my post, for what ny car came with. It was over $40k pluse in options. Granted it was a Press car so it had a lot on it.
The B&O stereo if unbelievable with 1100 watts. New it is and over $8000 option, used no were near that. I like the Alcontera seats instead of the leather.
as others have Sade contrasting stitching is nice. There is also the sport suspension or comfort. My car has the comfort suspension. And is fine for road driving, I have not hade the car on a track yet. My car has a lot of carbon fiber trim. It is nice but pricey. But again on the used market not as bad.
the 2016 GT also has the upgraded waterfall center stack and gauges from the DB9. There has been a lot of debate what is better. The 2015 interior or the 2016. The 2015 GT wheels were also a different design and and finish. Mine are gloss black, were has the 2015 are a dark flat gray. I would also rather have had the flat black center console trim. The gloss black is impossible to keep clean.

Thanks for sharing the pics and the option lists - as mentioned above, option tastes really are personal. Some appeal to me, others hard to tell.
From what I've seen so far, the carbon splitter and diffuser (and mirrors and side strakes) really take it up a notch. Based on the option cost at initial purchase, I would assume these are VERY rare.
Both the alcantara seats and leather look nice to me - I just would insist on the 'dark' interopr vs. light. Besides the material, I wonder if the seats are otherwise the same?
I actually would value the graphics pack on the Alloro Green (yellow) and White (red) versions...
Sport vs. comfort suspension - I'd like to learn more about this. Same for the 'waterfall' stack and gauges on the 2016 model?
Can anyone explain what the technology pack includes over the base model?
SO many questions... hoping the incoming Aston book will make a lot of this more clear.
Thanks for those that have posted their thoughts - anyone else care to share option lists and their opinions of them?
