Vantage depreciation...how low can it go?

you can find plenty of ones older than 2013 for under 60k

I was referring to my car or newer cars. 2012 & older cars have declined in values for sure,......
Tread title says Vantage values- that's 10 years different between 2006-2016 cars. They look same, but they're not same cars, lot of things changed & that makes big difference on the price.. how can you compare prices 2006 to 2016 cars...
FYI- about 8 months ago I was thinking about selling mine, i didn't advertise at all. Came across ad in marketplace WTB vantage . I connected with that member, after few conversation & PPI ( I paid for it, after I pulled out of the deal) he offered me 78K for my car. In the end I changed my mind, and I'm so glad that I didn't sell mine.

Just for the data point - I just purchased my 2013 V8VS, Manual, 15,770 miles and the few service records that 15K miles would have for $62K.
Not too sure what this means, other than to me, it was a good deal so I pulled the trigger.

I am one of those here who is partial to a manual transmission. Aston Martin tells me that my 2009 6spd roadster in only one of 56 imported to the US in 2009. Perhaps that a product of the Great Recession. I have no plans to sell mine (too much fun) but will be interested to see if manual shift cars retain their value better than asm cars.

09 23k mile roadster sportshift - depreciation / cost 1 year to the day
I bought my one owner, fully documented and inspected down to paint thickness, ignition cycles, highest rpm ever per gear and top speed. 14k miles when delivered - still had original tires with decent tread. Car was loved and no expense spared
I paid 55k
12 months later
1600 for new tires
1200 brakes
700 oil change and another 600 to correct some fault in the softtop motor that wasn’t mechanical or needing replacement
$1000 to send to dealer for diagnosis after engine was sounding terrible
- $42,000 for a new motor. Never told exactly why or that they don’t sell their own motors. They had to special order a rebuilt on from 3rd party. Had a new clutch installed with motor for another 3k
- month Alternator failure. The reused all bolt on parts from old engine including pulleys so the argued it should not be covered under new engine warranty “since they didn’t replace it how could it be under warranty work. arguing it’s a failure to complete original scope got no where and I tried to just buy a new one from them but they claim they don’t sell parts if they have not determined it’s needeed. I wasn’t paying 1k for diagnosis and shipping when I know what a broken alternator is
3’weeks trying to source a new one and Aston bits, Scuderia parts amazon, eBay - not one available. Found a refurbished unit in Germany who sold me one for 400
When it arrived I saw the oem alternator is a 119 dollar DESCO unit found at any auto zone.
With all pulleys and and brearings reused the car sounded bad. They saved 159 in total parts not replacing pulleys or bearings which cost me 1600 in labor to install, bs one hour when engine was out
throw in sales tax and insurance I’ve spent close to 60k for a 55k car
back to as new condition I was hoping to trade up to a SLS amg or 991 turbo. 3 trade offfers the best was 28k
so why the depreciation? It’s a good car but when it’s not it’ has limited parts, crazy expensive major components that don’t perform like the price merits
If I took a trade the car has not depreciated, its been a 1.5x toxic asset
Yet still, I can’t help but love the car. It just feels special ro drive but has been awful to own. Most have no problems but there is a small market for cars 7k clutch jobs, 2k annual service, nice but thin leather and if you don’t have a dealer your out of luck because no one will touch it. I have a great mechanic who has worked on all 14 of my cars and can do anything but he has given up on this because he can’t find parts and when he has at a dealer they won’t sell them or maybe can’t get them either. Try to find an 09 alternator right now. You can’t
I live downtowm Cincinnati. Within 90 miles 15 fortune 50 companies and top 10 sales city for Ferrari Rolls, Bentley and Maserati but I have no one within 250 miles who can work on it, and if i ship it there I only am told of one option which is unreasonably expensive
I’m basically trying to enjoy it until the next thing breaks then in parting it out.
i do intend to keep the shell of the body and have it cut in half. I love the side profile and it’s very light and I found someone who could create a backdrop; and secure it high on one of the walls in my garage. I adore how it looks stationary and that might be the best years of ownership I have with it. Drilled in to the studs, welded to mounts and seeming to have wrecked sideways embedded itself in the wall. Knew 25 ft ceilings were a good idea when building the house. Room for 3 bays with 2 4 post lifts and still space for custom Aston wall mural
my experience is not the normal and I don’t regret buying it or paying to fix it. I really do like the car a lot and think it’s a perfect example of what it set out to be. I just wish it hasn’t run such a high cost that makes it where I can’t put another dollar into it in good conscious.
what was a 2100 mile per year car, that is now a 2009 with everything imaginable replaced and back under warranty so a total 2300 mile 2009 Aston Martin and worst offer for trade was Mercedes surprisingly. 16.5k and that was with buying a new G63 for my wife
Wish I had taken up drink drugs and gambling as I don’t think they would have cost so much in 12 months and you can hit a bottom then accept its time to get help #AMpurgatory

mind me me asking what year, setup, color, mileage range your looking for in a 430?
As as they have come down a lot after the 488 pushed the 458s down this has just recently seemed to be within my price point. I have two friends with them Ans have done a few track days in them and it’s a much more functional driver than expected and upkeep hasn’t cost my friends anymore than I have on my 997 turbo s or what minus big blow ups what the vantage would have
I didn’t know if those around 95-120 range should be leery of as I see blocks there then a price jump in the 150 range

That one owner car - are you sure it was not sold as a Certified car that was previously owned but not licensed by Aston Martin as a tracked car? The last V12S I bought had a hidden history as an Aston Martin corporate tracked car - same thing - a ton of failures and they were caught when I noticed they forgot to put the manufactures data plate back on the car before selling (oopsie). When I discovered this I demanded a different car and they replaced my 23,000 mile car with a local true one owner 8,000 mile trouble free car. They then sold the car with disclosure for about $90K with a two year warranty to a local gent. Since then it's got a new engine, several new computers, both headlights, new hoses, two new clutches(!), and much more on Aston's dime. I'd wager, your problems is non-disclosed Aston Martin track use, but sold as new.

But I've got my mistress back and finally have a smile again, especially since the beautiful nurse that was getting serious, just got back together with her separated husband [love of her life, you can't compete or even try].
I love my car. Needs leather work still from all the popped spots and all the overspray from living in dealer service, the white LED strip went out on my passenger side HID, she is a money pit. But so are alot of things in life worth having.
