Help! P2257 code on 2010 V8V

Hey everyone,

Im having issues with my V8V currently throwing a P2257 code for the secondary air sys. I've also driven the car for over 80 miles after resetting the codes and all emissions checks are complete except for the secondary air sys. I've tried over 15 cold starts for at least 200 seconds and driven various speeds and duration.

I just bought the car from Texas and need to pass smog in California but this code is keeping me from doing so.

Is there any troubleshooting steps I can try on my own before taking it to a mechanic? Thanks in advance!

Make sure you have a good battery. Weak/old batteries and Astons don't mix.

Thsnks for the tip! I have it setup on an AM trickle charger and its been charged to 100%. I'll keep driving for the time being in hopes that it finally ''wakes up" .

i checked the relay last night and found it was cut, glued and taped together. I checked the resistance on it and it was sitting around 76.

Im assuming the previous owner cut it open to check if the relay was working .

Does anyone have any other recommended steps I can try from here? I ordered the part from scuderia parts but it seems like it's going to take quite some time to arrive.

Have you jumped the connection at the base to verify that your air pump is coming on? Did you see if a local dealer had the relay?

Unfortunately I'm not quite sure how to jump the connection but I will do some research .

Great idea on the local dealer! I'll give them a call to see. Thanks for the help!
