700 HP with a warranty

I an somewhat envious of the current Mustang owners. Ford just announced an authorized supercharger upgrade specifically designed for the 2018-2019 Coyote Mustangs. Note that this kit requires no modification to the block or heads, and moves the HP from 460 to 700 plus. If installed at the Ford dealer the kit is warrantied for 3 years 36K miles. The original engine warranty is not affected.
For those in California, the kit is emissions compliant in all 50 states.
Cost $7,699.00.
I know Aston Martin does not have the money to compete with the big guys, but how much R&D could this have cost Ford. Aston apparently has the money and resources to dabble in F1. IMHO, that effort has zero impact on its street cars. But a properly engineered supercharger kit priced between $10K and $15K would be welcomed my the Aston Community.
My 2 cents

I love the idea!

This would be an ~70k upgrade from AML.

This is such great news, locally Ford have actually encouraged us to do certain upgrades.
i will be adding this to my mustang I have a new 550 GT and it really is good cheap fun and even driven like I just stole it it's lighter on gas than my vantage

I believe in the USA these things are like dirt cheap so expect to see many of them in SA it was the best selling sports car two years in a row.

You do realize Aston paid nothing to get the wings onto the Redbull car..That's all to do with the friendship between Andy Palmer+Christian Horner and a few drink, Oh and if memory serves me right a pink Aston for a certain lady that used to Spice it up!
