03 vanquish purchase
#16
Swapit did you buy it? You really should persevere and get on the AMOC forum. They know everything about the car and the information on there will save you an absolute fortune.
I've had my Vanquish for 8 years now. I bought it after reading the AMOC forum and realising the horror stories about the car came about due to ignorance.
I do all my own maintenance. Easy as I have a two post lft, but as has been said "it's just a car".
The front sub frame doesn't need salt to corrode it. There was the tale of one bought in Dubai, very low mileage but taken out of the garage once a week, washed and then put away again.
That had caused the sub frame to corrode enough to require replacing and that after 10k miles.
Mine has now done over 75k miles (it is well used) and has proved 100% reliable. It does not do a car any good sitting there for months and not being used. The seals dry up causing the AC compressor to leak
along with the diff and gearbox seals giving you some nice oil pools on the garage floor. As GTjoey say's "use them"!
