Hi everyone. Another small issue as I'm getting used to the new (to me) 2005 DB9 coupe. My trunk hatch is rubbing against the body on the driver side when the trunk is opened and it's causing a lot of wear to the paint in that area. This happens because the hatch itself seems to shift forward a little bit as the trunk is lifted, only if I raise the trunk with hands on each side or with a hand on the right side only. If I raise it only with a hand on the left side, it keeps the hatch away from rubbing against the body. Is there an adjustment point I can use to fix this, and what would you recommend for covering up the paint rub areas? Some pictures:
Trunk closed. Top panel is the body panel. Bottom panel is the trunk hatch.
Same orientation as above, showing the rubbing on the trunk hatch as well.
Picture showing how the panels rub together as I'm lifting evenly or from the right side.
There are ways to realign the hatch with the hinges and the latch. While I didn't have rubbing, my hatch on one side was slightly higher than the body. I spent an hour one Saturday morning realigning it. Trial and error, small minor adjustments till I got it right
