ignition switched power supply

the cigar lighters are "active" at all times. where can i find a 12v lead that powers off with the ignition? id like to put my DVR camera in the car

I’m on an iPad or I’d look at the cabin fuse panel diagram, but look for a spare fuse that is active KL-15 ( ignition =ON). For my headlight halos I used Engine Bay spare fuse F6 that is active when the ignition =ON. You will likely want one from the cabin fuse panel under the passenger footwell carpet since you can then easily route the wires up behind the dash. Use a fuse tap for the +12v lead. There are ground hubs right next to the cabin fuse panel for the ground lead.
